The function of throttle body is to control the air intake when the engine is working. It is the basic dialogue channel between EFI system and driver. The throttle body is composed of valve body, valve, throttle pull rod mechanism, throttle position sensor, idle speed control valve, etc. Some throttle bodies have a coolant pipeline. When the engine works at a cold and low temperature, hot coolant can prevent freezing in the valve plate area through the pipeline. It is mounted in front of the intake manifold.
